You must have read my previous posts on blogging contests. You will see that many top blogs are now organizing blogging contests with some great prizes. And you will also find that top companies are sponsoring these contests.
These contests mainly ask you to subscribe their email newsletter so that in future they can also do email marketing to a large audience. Email marketing is a great way of permanent steady traffic.
What basically these contests are doing is internet marketing, Internet marketing in a quick way. Internet or online marketing is the way of exposing your business or website to the online audience so that to achieve lot of quality, targetted traffic and so more ROI. It includes various ways like Search engine optimisation, search engine marketing (SEM) or PPC marketing, affiliate marketing, article marketing, banner or text advertisement and more.
Considering majority of population now using internet for their businesses, online marketing is needed in addition to offline promotions. I will be starting a big contest soon, keep watching this space.
