I searched a lot for good quality ringtones of my favorite albums for my new iPhone and that too at an affordable rate. Digital images are replacing conventional paper images and so is their displaying option. Digital picture/photo frames are getting more and more popular and top companies like Sony, Kodak etc. are jumping in this segment.

Good new for Sony fans - their entry level digital photo frame is available now - Sony DPF-D70. It’s a nice looking, 7″ size digital frame. The default option is to show each and every image in a slide show. Though you have various other options for the display of a picture

• OR all of the above randomly

This gadget features a high gloss black colored frame that makes the photos pop out. There is a Sony logo at the bottom of the screen, which you can turn off at your will. If you rotate the frame, the picture rotates by itself as per the settings.

Its strange that they have an unusual size of 15:9 aspect ratio. Also currently the frame supports only still images, no option for video or audio files. That might prevent users from buying it, when other frames with video and audio features are available.

Regarding picture storage, the frame supports add-on memory card options like memory stick, xD cards etc. They do provide an internal memory of 256 MB, which can store as many as 500 images. But that depends on picture resolution, size, quality etc. It also comes with a small remote control to handle the menu options from distance.

There should be no question regarding the image resolution - it’s a Sony product and are leader in image quality. The frame runs only with plugged power, no battery option. Also, the price is little higher compared to other competitors’ DPF. So before buying this fram, read other digital picture frame reviews, compare and then decide.

Previously, I wrote a post on the launch of Apple iPhone 3G - a full featured mobile phone. Today, Vodafone India, announced its launch in India from around september 2008 and have opened pre-registration for the latest Apple iPhone 3G. All you have to do is send SMS to their provided number and they will contact you back.

Also, the final talks on guidelines on 3G technology by TRAI are going to complete soon, and that will add-on to the enthusiasm of 3G use with latest iPhone. So thats a double good news for gizmo freaks in India.

Now what’s new about latest iPhone 3G model ? It will now support 3rd Generation mobile technology, GPS navigation, Microsoft exchange server and more. Third party applications and mobile games will be sold from apple store now.

3G technology will make it possible to access fast internet, read emails and download ringtones over supported networks. You can even call when connected to internet - that’s multitasking, possible with 3G.

Not much change in design, but the screen will be little wide, which will now support 3.5 inch cell phone wallpapers. Also album artwork will be supported as with iPod. HTML rich Safari browser will give a rich internet experience. Can’t wait more, gonna buy it for sure.

Though the sale will be limited to US only in the start but expecting it to available worldwide soon. I am going to buy it for sure. Can’t wait for its release at my place.
